ALL PROCEEDS GO TO HELP HEARING AND SPEECH IMPAIRED CHILDREN IN DURHAM

The "Triangle SERTOMA Club" was chartered in 1978 by the Bull City Sertoma Club of Durham, NC and is a Durham, NC based Club of 35 conscientious members of the community, whose primary goal is the raising of funds to support children with hearing and speech impairments in the Durham area. We are a 501 (c) (3) (IRS code of 1954) non profit organization and all proceeds go to help the children in need. We purchased our building along with nine acres of land on May 15, 1998 from the Terry family. We are one of 650 clubs who are members of Sertoma International, (now Sertoma, Inc.) which is based in Kansas City, MO. and is represented by more than 20,000 men and women volunteers who raise more than $20 million annually throughout Canada, United States and Mexico. Our Club's main support is to three benefiting organizations (see Charities). And we also support other activities such as Toys for Tots at Christmas, Camp Sertoma (Deaf Camp) (www.campsertoma.org ), (www.campsertomaclub.org), the NC Sertoma Endowment Fund, Inc., the Sertoma Foundation, the Ronald McDonald House and other specific community needs as requested through its individual members. We are very proud of our members and their hard work ethics in giving back to the community they serve. Sense the purchase of the land and building,  it has been a work in progress. We are continuing to improve the building and grounds every year. The renovations would not be possible without the help of our members and contributions from our local area builders and suppliers. We are very appreciative of all the support the community gives.
